By using Ugyon you agree to these terms. Ugyon is a pilot service for neighbors in a single barangay, and it may change as we learn.

What Ugyon is

Ugyon helps neighbors give things away, swap them, or offer them at a discount. We only connect people. We are not a party to any exchange, and we do not handle payments. Any payment for a deal is made directly between you and the other person, in person.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give a mobile number that is yours.
• Keep your sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Use your real name, or the name your neighbors know you by.

What you can post

• Post only items you own and are free to give, swap, or sell, with an honest description and photo.
• Do not post anything illegal, dangerous, stolen, counterfeit, or adult in nature. This includes weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, live animals, and medicines that need a prescription.
• Be careful with food. Share only what is safe to eat and say what it is and when it was made or bought.
• Only post photos you took or have the right to use. Do not include other people without their consent.

How to treat each other

• Be respectful. No harassment, threats, discrimination, spam, or scams.
• Show up when you say you will, or tell the other person early if plans change.
• Do not use the chat to pull people onto other platforms to pay or share personal details.

Meeting in person

Meetups happen in the real world. Choose a public, well-lit place when you can, bring a friend if you are unsure, and trust your instincts. Look over an item before you accept it. You are responsible for your own safety and for the items you give or receive.

Our role and limits

Ugyon is provided as is, during a pilot. We do not check listings, users, or items, and we do not guarantee their quality, safety, or legality. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses, injuries, or disputes that come from an exchange between users, or for downtime or lost content.

Removing content and accounts

We may remove a listing, or limit or close an account, if it breaks these terms or puts others at risk. You can stop using Ugyon at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use Ugyon means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
